Out With The Old in With The New - Our Installation Process

Roof

A quality roof starts with careful preparation. We begin by removing your old roofing materials and thoroughly inspecting the underlying decking. If there are any signs of damage or rot, we repair them to ensure a solid, long-lasting foundation.

Next, we install a protective underlayment to act as a moisture barrier, followed by essential components like drip edge and flashing around vulnerable areas such as chimneys, valleys, and vents. These details help prevent leaks and extend the life of your roof.

Shingles are then installed with precision, layer by layer, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening. We finish with ridge caps and ventilation to promote airflow and help regulate your home’s temperature year-round.

Once the installation is complete, we perform a full clean-up of the job site—leaving your home looking clean, safe, and protected with a roof you can rely on for years to come.

Siding

We start by checking your home’s exterior for any damage, then remove the old siding and repair any existing damage (if needed) prep the surface. Next, we apply a weather barrier to help block out moisture and drafts.

From there, we install the siding itself—working from the bottom up for a clean, even finish. Trim pieces go around windows, doors, and corners, and we seal everything up with caulk to keep it weather-tight.

Every job ends with a final walk-through and clean-up so your home looks great from the start.

Windows

Our window installation process starts with the careful removal of your old windows. We inspect the openings for any damage or rot and make repairs if needed to ensure a solid fit. Your new windows are then set into place, leveled, and secured. We insulate around the frame, seal all gaps for maximum efficiency, and reinstall trim for a clean, finished look.

Gutters an important part of your homes defenses system

  •  Properly installed gutters protect the interior of your home as well as your homes foundation, basement and crawl space by diverting water away from your home.
  • Prevent water damage to your roof, which cause rot, deterioration or mold in shingles, soffit, fascia and masonry.
  • Leaf screens help prevent gutter failure by keeping leaves, pine needles and other debris out of the inside of the gutters and downspouts, not to mention the time  you'll save from not having to climb up a ladder to clean them.

Keep your attic dry

  • It is important to Properly install and vent your bathroom vents to the exterior of the house to keep your attic area dry and prevent the possibility of mold
  • Creating a balanced attic system with a combination of ridge, soffit, and or gable vents.

What factors determines the price of a roof

  • Size, slope, accessibility and accessories: Roof size and style (peaks valleys), how difficult is it to access your roof (is your roof walkable or is it high pitch), are there any skylights or special vents to be installed all of these things determine the cost.
  • Existing roof: The type of roof shingles and the amount of roof materials (shingles) that would need to be removed all determine cost. (the type of product and amount of layers add cost of labor and weight to dumpsters and its removal)
  • Roof shingles: asphalt shingles are the most common for residential homes and come in different brands and colors. (we recommend Owens Corning)
  • Other Roof materials: Will partial or complete water-resistant underlayment be installed, all roof boots, and flashing around chimneys, skylights etc will be replaced.
  • Labor:  The quality of workmanship, scoop of work and as stated above complexity of roof and work need to be done to prepare and install your roof system all determine the cost.
  • NOTE: When comparing roof quotes, make sure to compare scope of work and materials being used, not all quotes are created equal.

What We Need From You!

To keep your project running smoothly, we first need access to the property, and a clear area for material and dumpster drop-off. Once work begins, your home becomes our job site—and that means it’s our responsibility to keep things safe for everyone, including you, your family, and even your pets (yes, even the fish!). We’ll always communicate clearly, work cleanly, and treat your home with care and respect from start to finish.

We Handle All Permits

No need to worry about paperwork—if your project requires any permits, we’ll take care of the entire process for you. From submitting applications to securing approvals, we handle it all to ensure your project meets local codes and gets started without delay. You can relax knowing everything is done the right way, from day one.

What Happens After the Job is Done?

We stand behind our work, even after the job is complete. If something comes up—whether it’s a concern with your siding, roof, or windows—just give us a call. Especially with unpredictable New England weather, things can happen. We're here to help, and in many cases, it's best to contact us before calling your insurance company. We’ll assess the situation and guide you on the next steps.

Depending on the materials you choose, warranties vary but typically include coverage for product defects, performance, and workmanship. We’ll make sure you understand the specific warranty details for your project so you can feel confident your home is protected.

We're here for you long after the project is done—because your peace of mind matters to us.
